6 Reasons on why Assam needs a new Government

For the past one year, the country has been reeling over the new Modi government which had taken over the hearts of the Indian people. Many people love him and many even hate him. With new schemes and initiatives, I can very much say within a year he has delivered much of the expectations, even though more such issues are yet to be tackled. Whatever the opposition blabbers, fact is that India has improved as a country over the past one year.

One such obvious Modi hater is our very own Chief Minister of Assam, who speaks all types of bloating words to diminish the works of our Prime Minister. But, the fact remains that even though he speaks ill of Mr. Modi, he is one of the most senseless persons within the brainless Congress party. Below are some of the highlights of his failures:

  •  Floods: Need I say more? Tarun Gogoi continuously keeps reminding us of Modi’s U-turns, but Mr. Gogoi has failed to see the situation of flood at every turn of Assam. Every time it rains, parts of our state remain underwater. The only solution Gogoi has carved out of his pocket is to tell a certain news conference that floods are a common phenomenon even in various places of the USA. Gogoi surely needs to be thrown down the drain!

  • Electricity: We Assamese people still dream of cities where there are 24x7 electricity. I still get goosebumps on hearing about places where there are no electricity failures. Is there no permanent solution to this everlasting problem of our state? And if Mr. Gogoi is failing at this task, I suppose he needs to hand over his Chief Ministerial duties to someone more prominent.
  • One-horned Rhino: Are there absolutely no safety measures to ensure the safety of these state animals? News of poaching and killing of these precious creatures throng the pages of news dailies and yet after all these years, the State Government has failed to ensure their protection. With the current pace, the one-horned rhino would exist only in our history books. Is Gogoi blind?

  • Bangladeshis: Our Chief Minister constantly complain of the lack of interest shown by the Modi-government to curb the influx of illegal Bangladeshis but fact remains that in the past one decade, at the time of the UPA government, Gogoi could have tackled this situation with the help of the Manmohan Singh government but alas, Mr. Gogoi only excels in complaining like kindergarten kids. So disturbing has been the menace that in a few years, Assam will have to be renamed ‘Bangladesh’! And instead of making efforts to oust them, Gogoi treats them as one of his own as they provide him with votes to win his CM seat.
  • APSC: This exam has become a literal joke for the last couple of years. The way this exam is linked to corruption, the legitimacy of every cleared candidate is put into doubt. Believe it or not, each and every person knows about the ill-doings happening around this exam and yet, everyone has put a blind eye to it. And as expected, Mr. Gogoi has failed to clean the name of this exam.
  • Terrorism: Assam had its first instances of terrorism in the name of ULFA. And now over the years, many such outfits have come up which has taken responsibilities for various blasts and terrorist activities. In two terms, all Mr. Gogoi has done is sit in his residence enjoying luxuries using state funds and pocketing them. Maybe, Paresh Baruah chose the right country to hide himself. Bangladesh!

If people of Assam really want to improve their standard of life and make a progress towards development, then the useless Congress government must be thrown away in next year’s elections. I don’t know if the centre has really cut off funds to the state but even if they did, I think they are not at all wrong in doing so. Gogoi is speaking as if in the past ten years, when the adequate funds were being provided by the UPA, it were used in development. If Gogoi does not use funds for development and only to fill his and his cabinet ministers’ purse, the centre has every right to slash it.

Valar Morghulis, Mr. Gogoi! (provided you understand it!)

  1. The last line.. Epic.!! :-D
That is also important matter that Gogoi won't understand the needs of the state & its people. He is best at lodging complaints & dodging problems. Total waste of a human being.

  2. The education system of assam also needs lots of improvements. I don't support HBS but he has done a brilliant job by providing those TET teachers to a fat portion of government schools in assam and, by thus, no need to say, he has provided a larger number of employment too. Unemployment is a national issue but I see no effort of State government to tackle this issue too.

  3. Few days ago he was crying for funds. And as the elections are knocking on the door he is just offering free milk scheme, rice at Inr 2/kg. I wonder from where funds came just before elections. And I have a strong believe people will kiss this dumed ass old sick man. His press conference are just rubbish, with no sense except some lame excuses. #misa-kole-kidal-hobo
